I think it is important to mention in the introductory tutorial that the beta version allows to share in a public and much simpler way the histories, workflow. beta history 1

beta history 2

furthermore, when i had to add the expression c8+1 by running the tool "compute a expression in every row" it did not work. dont work add column so i had to replace that step by using the tool "add column" which is from version 1.0.0.0 which is old. i consider that reviewing and make some changes in the introduction resourcers is important.

addcolumn

Hi @yenifergalarza I'm sorry for the delayed response!

Yes, definitely. But we currently do not mention the beta history, it is too much for newcomers to the training material. Galaxy will completely remove the old history sometime soon and replace it with the Beta History and then we will need to update all of the tutorials to show that, and it will become the default way :) So, for now we will do nothing about this.

tool "compute a expression in every row" it did not work.

  • Which tutorial was this?
  • How did it not work?
  • Could you share a history where you see this error?

There are maybe some details important for us that would help debug this issue.

  • Which tutorial was this?

the one called "From peaks to genes".

  • How did it not work?

A tutorial called from peak to genes, has an error in the indications/steps, in this particular case was happened when I need to create a new bed file with hypothetical data, and the step is executed or computed with an expression c8 + 1. I'm confused about that because the previous step (compute c2 + c5) works. So, I tried with another expression c8 + c2. Maybe this second expression. it doesn't make sense. I came to know about that, I insist.
