Support for suggesting controlled vocabularies when tagging workflows
In the Imaging Community, we are compiling all imaging-related workflows that have been annotated with a specific tag (for example, imaging, bioimaging, or microscopy). Our plan is to automatically discover workflows using CODEX.
Since Galaxy allows free-text tags, users often annotate workflows with slightly different or inconsistent terms. To make these workflows easier to discover and categorise, the Galaxy Community Board has been discussing whether it would make sense to support users in selecting controlled vocabulary terms (such as those from the EDAM ontology).
Is there an existing way in Galaxy (or planned) to suggest such terms when users tag workflows?
Over at IWC, I have https://github.com/galaxyproject/iwc/pull/639, which I never got round to finishing, but which would add edam_topics and edam_operations to existing IWC WFs. As of now, this would not be something that Galaxy understands or uses, but it would allow you to read these attributes from IWC-published WF files and use them in the codex.
