It is definitely a feature worth having - added to the to-do list.

e.g., `stri_extract_all` and `stri_split` have `simplify` and this means exactly that

By the way, number formatting is not currently used, but setting `-DUCONFIG_NO_FORMATTING` would also disable `TimeZone`, date/time formatting, etc.
