On the Kindle Paperwhite, swipe doesn't work

It has a touch screen, no physical keyboard, but swiping doesn't work. Maybe add an emergency option with onscreen left,right,up,down buttons? This could also be the up middle two, down middle two, right middle two and left middle two squares for example, to hide it from the sight.

Wow, Kindle? I doesn't even thought of trying 2048 on my Kindle.
