[Android] IAP to remove ads/paid version without?

Open abonander opened this issue 10 years ago • 9 comments

Currently the Android app version has ads but no way to remove them besides AdBlock, and I don't like doing that to good app authors. I would rather support their efforts.

I would gladly kick $.99 - $1.99 your way for an ad-free version, but I don't have the option to. It could be implemented as an in-app purchase (IAP) so you only have one version to support and accumulate downloads and ratings on.

I clicked the wrong button. GitHub should add a confirm dialog before closing an issue.

There is always the possibility to donate and then use adblock :smirk:

@Miladiir Adblock doesn't work on non-rooted phones, at least for non-WiFi traffic.

I can't believe this issue hasn't been recognized yet. Since iOS has the remove ads feature I would love for it to be added to android.

The android version isn't maintained here, this is the original web version. Talk to the developer of the Android app if you want results.

@Vermilingua The official Android app links to this repo for reporting bugs and suggestions.

@Vermilingua Also the creator of the web version also makes the app.

Nothing else to say here really, just let us throw money at you from within the app.

I'd like to upvote this on Android -- I'd pay a few $ to get rid of the ads
