@vomikan, @whalley I think this one may be bringed up as priority, because otherwise we are stucked with SQLite 3.31.x, that is an old version released more than two years...

Yes, additional gui element would be useful/clearer but it's not mandatory, we just need a pattern or text to define when is standard search and when is regex
