More a Question than Bug
Hey,
I notice there's not a super amount of development going on any more. Would you support moving this over to a new stack & langauge to improve performance & reduce costs of running? I was thinking Golang for its nice performance level and still being really easy to learn.
Thoughts?
@lstanden Hello, I have absolutely no knowledge of Golang and I have no intention of learning it, I've got very limited personal time atm. I am pretty sure there are a lot of optimisation I could do on the code base still even in rails, it's always a question of finding the time sadly.
If you want to make a fork in Golang with more features and better optimised, you are totally welcome to do so, but I won't transfer you the domain name and database unless I am sure the product is equivalent or better and the user data is safe. It's easy to start a project like this (took me a few days to develop) but it's kind of hard to maintain and keep up when you have a life and other personal projects going on. The advantage of Ruby on Rails is that it's simple, and there is already a small amount on contributors on this project that help tackle the issues and updates when they arrive (way faster than I could ahah) so it'd be a shame to lose that too.
