FM - CTCSS Threshold

Open ik4nzd opened this issue 4 years ago • 6 comments

Hi everyone. I installed the first FM version on April 27th, and I verified that the CTCSS threshold was working correctly, as per instructions, that is, with a value of 0 the repeater remained open, while increasing the value gradually obtained a greater immunity to unwanted activations. In later versions, April 28 and May 1, the threshold does not seem to me to work properly. When the value is 0, the repeater does not remain open and I am unable to enter with any apparatus. To be able to commit the system I have to put values at least higher than 100. With the version of April 28, the system became quite stable with a value of 150, while with the version of May 1 I have to increase further and exceed 200 in order not to have unwanted hooks. Is this normal?

For example, this is part of my log. CTCSS Threshold was 300 but…

M: 2020-05-03 21:07:12.179 Debug: CTCSS Value / Threshold / Valid 48 44 1 M: 2020-05-03 21:07:12.183 Debug: State to RELAYING M: 2020-05-03 21:07:12.430 Debug: CTCSS Value / Threshold / Valid 8 44 0 M: 2020-05-03 21:07:12.433 Debug: State to RELAYING_WAIT M: 2020-05-03 21:07:13.682 Debug: CTCSS Value / Threshold / Valid 825 44 1 M: 2020-05-03 21:07:13.683 Debug: State to RELAYING M: 2020-05-03 21:07:17.431 Debug: CTCSS Value / Threshold / Valid 11 44 0 M: 2020-05-03 21:07:17.432 Debug: State to RELAYING_WAIT M: 2020-05-03 21:07:18.431 Debug: CTCSS Value / Threshold / Valid 44 44 1 M: 2020-05-03 21:07:18.431 Debug: State to RELAYING M: 2020-05-03 21:07:18.680 Debug: CTCSS Value / Threshold / Valid 34 44 0 M: 2020-05-03 21:07:18.686 Debug: State to RELAYING_WAIT

Although the threshold is set to 300, a threshold value of 44 is shown in the debug. When I press the ptt you see the value at 825, but the repeater does not open, and indeed continues to change state, but NEVER go to tx. This behavior is known for all threshold values lower than 100 and now, therefore, also for higher values. Now as a value I have set 220 to have an "almost" always regular operation.

Where could I find a working MMDVHost config for the latest MMDVM? The config in the repo is not valid and refused by the MMDVM

What are the parameters you think are wrong?

back to your bug report I have same issue with it after I played CTCSSHighThreshold and CTCSSLowThreshold values. Is there any way to send reset request to due?
