FXclient Replay feature suggestion

Allow a feature to see account names and account history with replays it would help to stop/punish multi tabbers. But maybe only david can do that and I understand if you cant

It's not possible to implement exactly what you're proposing, as the server doesn't send account data to game clients. However, I could make FX client connect to a separate server that communicates the account info of all FX users in a game and make the client show it next to each player in the player list, for example. Users will be able to opt out of sending their own account info (which could be set to make them unable to see other players' accounts). I could even add a "login with discord" and allow players to connect their territorial.io account with their discord, and show that in the player list too. Does this sound like a good idea? I know that BetterTT had similar features, but I haven't really used them, so I'm not sure what exactly they were.

That would be even better, because its alot easier to make new tt accounts than it is for discord accounts. Being able to opt out, though, is a win/lose situation, because on the bright side people wont know your discord username and if they anonymize themselves or get their names redacted, then it will be much harder to be able to find and snipe them. But on the bad side, it would make it harder to catch botters and multi tabbers. As for the login with discord thing, that would be amazing. I think overall both are good ideas, but you might wanna ask more people if there should be an option to opt out because there are pros and cons to being able to and not being able to. As for my opinion, you should probably remove the option, because there will be a risk to sniping because if they can see your account name, then you might get in trouble. I think that instead of linking their discord account to their territorial account, you should just keep there discord account linked to the website in a way that no matter what account they use, it will show the same discord info. Not sure if that's possible, though.

Edit: I also need to ask, if you do make fx client connect to a separate server, will it separate base territorial and the fx client version? Like will fx client users be able to play with normal terri users

This feature won't cause FX to be "disconnected" from the base game, because it would be connecting to its own server in parallel; this is also what BetterTT did when it was still around
