Dell Latitude 7400 Thunderbolt firmware 44.00

Open ghost opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

The firmware isn't available for this machine on LVFS and I had a lot of trouble installing the latest Thunderbolt firmware from Windows (extremely slow, always failed with an error). I ended up grabbing the bin files from the temp directory in Windows and I've created my own firmware package with fwupdmgr's firmware_packager.py in the contrib directory, which flashed fine on Fedora 32, fwupdmgr 1.4.4. Windows also sees the device as up to date. I can provide the bin files if that's allowed by Dell, although you probably can extract it straight from Dell's package.
