Support for android versions below 7.0
Use Cases
A lot of android tv devices have older operating systems like android 4.4, 5.0, 6.0 and most of them don't come with any kind of casting abilities, supporting these android versions would be extremely useful as these devices are often not eligible for system updates but remain operational and useful for basic media consumption.
Proposal
Consider lowering the minimum SDK version requirement.

I have looked into this a bit, but as it seems this likely will not be considered or done anytime soon:
- I have only found ~10 out of the 900+ devices listed on this Android TV device list that are below Android 7.0.
- The lowest possible version perhaps we could theoretically support is Android 5.1 due to library and emulator compatibility.
- Then there is some additional porting effort as the current build does not work on older Android versions as of now.
I'll leave this issue open however for users to express interest should there be a large enough user-base to consider lowering the minimum SDK requirement.
Running old android phones as fcast reciever for HiFi stereos is a possible use case.

This list only shows certified devices. I think that at times of these Android version there were many uncertified Android TV devices.
I've been working on a project of turning old Firesticks into degoogled Android TV sticks, but they don't have any casting (because no Google so no Chromecast, thanks for killing off Miracast btw Google real cool) and since this is only doable on old gen 2 models, they only run Android 5.1.1 so I can't install FCast
Off topic rant. While the receiver is available everywhere (besides Android<7), there are almost no senders (besides GrayJay). I opened a request on every app that should support casting (Jellyfin, Outertune, revanced YT, Metrolist, Immich) and no one seems interested. IDK how Futo can encourage other developers to use FCast, but right now, it feels that its going nowhere.
