Fair point.

As yet I've not seen any other app that provides asset dependency resolution server side like this.

From what I've seen it does the same thing as django-pipeline, django-assets, django-compressor etc. I'm pretty sure you can compare to those.

Perhaps you could even add it on the grid: https://www.djangopackages.com/grids/g/asset-managers/

I really don't understand why asset managers either don't have or don't acknowledge they have dependency tracking mechanisms. In .NET land, there is cassette, which seems to be pretty well done, but you'd never tell from its docs that it can in fact track dependencies.
