Snarl needs to replace the Windows 8+ notification system
With Windows 8 having been around for over three years now, I'm surprised there hasn't been any movement yet on capturing and replacing its notification system. I skipped Windows 8 myself, but as a current Windows 10 user who's starting to use Store apps more and more, I can no longer ignore Action Center and Windows toasts -- like it or not, they're here to stay, and something needs to be done about them. I can't imagine anyone wanting to deal with two separate notification systems, and that can only be bad news for Snarl's continued relevance.
To that end, I'd like to suggest that you get in touch with the author of Windows Notification for Snarl, obtain the source, build support for toasts on top of his existing (and very sound) base, and make it a core plugin. This functionality, especially these days, is far too important to not be available out-of-the-box.
