Every once in a while GloriousEggroll releases a specific wine-ge build for League of Legends (wine-ge-lol). Any chance we could have it included in nix-gaming?

AFAIK it is not possible to play LoL on Linux anymore, since LoL introduced a kernel-level anti cheat. I believe there won't be any more wine-ge-lol releases.

Should this issue be closed then? I obviously haven't made progress in almost 2 years (oops). Afair this attempt didn't work.

I believe it makes sense to close this issue. To my knowledge wine-ge-lol was specifically released for LoL and was not recommended for other games anyway, so since

  • there will be no new release
  • with existing old releases, we can't play LoL

it does not make sense to package it anymore
