Can't use differentiating opponents skins or colors on deathmatch...

Now, my issue... Since I found qwskins at https://github.com/mushis/qwskins/tree/master/fte, I figured FTEQW can do deathmatch well. However, I see two problems:

  1. Although those skins look fine on the stock player.mdl (See Fig 1), they look like the wrong wrap in game play (See Fig 2)
  2. All opponents appear the same... even when each of the other clients have their own skin/color (and I also have their skins in my id folder), they all appear the same (see Fig2)(also see your screenshot below, Fig 3, that shows the opponent as only all red, or I suspect whatever enemycolor is set as). When I ran a server back in the 90's, everyone appeared as their own skin. Maybe I'm not configuring something right? Or is FTEQW not made to show different skins/colors for each player?

I'm using your Win32 5529 build, with no pluggins except for the HD packs. Here are my options and particle settings:
