FTEdroid.apk not clear about directory to copy game files

FTEDroid looks for game data stored under the "Android/data/com.fteqw/files" folder, so that is where you put your "id1" (Quake) folder.

Unfortunately, the Android app broke a while ago, but there has been some work on that front recently, so I'll forward this suggestion to Spike, or at the very least we'll make very clear documentation when the app works again.
