One more vote for adding this to Homebrew. Here's some documentation for it, if it's at all helpful: https://docs.brew.sh/Adding-Software-to-Homebrew. I don't have time to try to figure it out for you unfortunately, but seeing how simple your installation is, it shouldn't be hard to make it homebrew-friendly. Probably the biggest change would just be to use Github "releases" when there's a significant change worth updating.
