Run (snapshot-and-exit) in the REPL to close it after the desktop appears. The two messages about windows closing are normal and part of the desktop resizing itself to the screen...

Old compiled files aren't compatible with the GC changes. make clean should remove them all.

I don't want a unix-style command line on mezzano, I'd much rather take inspiration from the lisp machine
