Use created SVGs from existing repos

I created a post on the Freifunk-Forum with a script to create correctly named router pictures from the various sources: https://forum.freifunk.net/t/mithilfe-aufruf-aktuelle-firmware-selector-bilder/23821/4

Wouldn't it be nice to use the same svg sources and transfer them to a similar repository?

The Meshviewer can also work with the same sources (when using this branch: https://github.com/freifunk-ffm/meshviewer/pull/15) - which can be seen on the ffac Map (including the new images).

Does anyone have the ability and willingness to help me do this in a non community specific org?

Switching to common source of svg files would also add images for:

  • archer c6
  • joy-it
  • re200
  • erx and erx-sfp
  • DAP-1330
  • xiaomi mi router 4a
  • xiaomi mi router 4c

Of course the svgs can be converted to jpg and imported here too

An example using the svgs created from the script above can be seen here: https://firmware.freifunk-aachen.de

@mweinelt you seem to have access to this repository and https://github.com/freifunk - what do you think about adding a router pictures repository to the freifunk org..?

@maurerle I have seen you mail regarding meshviewer and icons. Unfortunately I cannot reply because I get <***@d***t.org>: non DNSSEC destination". Seems that there is a DNSSEC issue with the email domain.

A general repository containing the vector graphics and instructions to use them for the firmware selector and meshviewer is now located here: https://github.com/freifunk/device-pictures

For now https://github.com/freifunk/device-pictures/issues/1 is needed to fully use the firmware selector with only svg images, but using it with the generated .jpg + no_picture_available and x86 images is possible too.
