devices: add Netgear R6120 installation instruction
Das Wiki zeigt zwar wie man das Teil debricken kann bzw. zurück zu Stock kommt, aber beim Initialen Flashen hilft das nicht (bzw. ist unnötig kompliziert). Ich wäre dagegen dies zu mergen.
Wenn ein FF-Factory-Image per Hersteller-GUI geflasht werden kann, dann gebe ich Dir natürlich recht. Ist das denn so? Ich selber habe keinen R6120, wurde aber auf das Wiki aufmerksam gemacht.
Da selbst auf der toh Seite von OpenWrt darauf hingewiesen wird, dass es beim R6120 nur mit dem nmrpflash Tool gehen würde, habe ich flugs diesen PR erstellt.
Initial ging das Flashen per Webinterface wohl nicht, scheint aber seit diesem Commit gefixt zu sein. Auf https://darmstadt.freifunk.net/mitmachen/unterstuetzte-geraete/ steht bei "Installation via" auch Webinterface.
If Instructions for the initial flashing process are added, I'm fine with merging this. This can be a short sentence about the web-flash (IP-Address) and maybe a picture (added bonus).
I've personally never tried the Netgear recovery protocol for OpenWrt factory images, so does it work? The Web-factory flash was fixed by the linked commit as well as some more.
i think there are issues with webinterface flashing with newer stock firmware, but i can't prove or check this now, we used nmrpflash to workaround this...
Then it would be important to verify that it is really not possible to flash an R6120 from the webinterface and an issue is opened on that (and ffda would need to update the device table).
My rejection of the PR is based on the assumption that flashing via the web interface is possible. And the following sentence in the instructions seems to support me in this:
Mit dieser Anleitung sollte man den R6120 auch direkt Flashen können ohne die WebUI.
If it is currently not possible to flash the R6120 from the web interface, then I would definitely link a manual for it (although the manual should also point out the situation that isn't possible to web-flash).
And if it is currently possible to flash the R6120 from the webinterface, then there is no objection from my side to link the manual after adding the appropriate instructions like @blocktrron suggested.
(Not part of this issue, but I think it should be discussed how (to a certain extent) it can be ensured that no malicious instructions appear in the linked instructions. After all, the link proposed here is a DocuWiki where anyone can make changes. It would also be nice to have a consistent collection of instructions.)
