browserstream ignores style settings

I have decided to start using my phone as a DMD and was able to turn on the browserstream. The DMD stream loads up fine in my phone's browser. However, I would like to tweak the brightness, height and dot size.

This is where I'm running into an issue. Changing style.default in dmddevice.ini successfully changes the look of the virtualdmd that renders on my desktop monitor. Unfortunately this had absolutely no effect on the browserstream. I refreshed my browser. It's exactly the same as before. It's as if the browserstream is using completely different settings.

Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious. What is the correct way of changing the browserstream style?
