DMD basic 1 color working with Future Pinball, but not Vpinmame

Open coreduo0099 opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

I wanted to colorize a new table and chose one of my colors that work fine with Future Pinball DMDs, but I just get typical red/orange in VPX.

e.g. FP Tron setting works fine.... and I get an Aqua DMD

[Tron Legacy (Stern) (Ultimate 1.01) (p2.7) (DOFLinx MX PuP SSF)]
virtualdmd enabled = true
virtualdmd style = Aqua
virtualdmd left = 5892
virtualdmd top = 316
virtualdmd width = 1656
virtualdmd height = 334
style.Aqua.brightness = 0.80
style.Aqua.dotsize = 0.80
style.Aqua.dotrounding = 0.85
style.Aqua.dotsharpness = 0.8
style.Aqua.unlitdot = #FF000000
style.Aqua.dotglow = 0.05
style.Aqua.backglow = 0.05
style.Aqua.gamma = 3
style.Aqua.tint = #ff20E9FF
style.Aqua.glass =
style.Aqua.glass.color = #00000000
style.Aqua.glass.lighting = 0
style.Aqua.glass.padding.left = 0
style.Aqua.glass.padding.top = 0
style.Aqua.glass.padding.right = 0
style.Aqua.glass.padding.bottom = 0
style.Aqua.frame =
style.Aqua.frame.padding.left = 0
style.Aqua.frame.padding.top = 0
style.Aqua.frame.padding.right = 0
style.Aqua.frame.padding.bottom = 0

However VPX while most settings seem to work in a default setup like dataeast-128x16 as expected.. it does not work changing tints for Say style.Aqua.tint.. If I tweak the brightness, it will blow out the color to white, but no tint seems to work with VPinMame/VPX.

Is the Tint config option supposed to work in VPinMame like it does in FuturePinball?

Can you post a screenshot of both DMDs with the same style, in FP and VPX?

Note that in case you're using Serum or Pin2Color in VPX, the tint won't be applied.
