New Firmware not recognizing on COM3 for DMDext?
Just upgraded FW to 1014...If I try to 'Test' (dmdext test -d auto) after the FW Upgrade...and it's stating that it's 'checking com3 for PinDMDv3' and the next line says 'PinDMDv3 not found.' Oddly enough, VPM runs just fine. PBX vids/images/VPM all working, otherwise. I even tried going back to 1.73 for a second to make sure I wasn't crazy. Keeps saying 'not found.' Anyway I can get the old FW to test against this? Anyone else run into this issue?
Update...changed to COM4 via Device manager...updated dmddevice.ini in VPM..works fine...still nothing from the DMDExt after changing to scan COM4. Says it scanned COM4... Still 'not found.' Did the FW change the naming convention of what it's looking for? It scans the ports, but the match cannot be found. I know we have the R after it for both revs....maybe that borked it?
This seems to be a dmdext version problem with fx3 and 1.80 dmdext. Try the 1.73 r79 snapshot dmdext version and it works fine with the New pindmdv3 1014 firmware. Freezy not sure what changed in 1.80 to stop fx3 from working with dmdext but 1.73 r79 does work.
Sorry for the late response. Does dmdext test -d pindmdv3
work? Just probing for all displays is not recommended anymore, because probing is slower and might result in blocking another driver's probing.
perhaps related to the thread I started about the .exe for anything over r100 does not let the aliens pup pack fire triggers correctly with virtualdmd? I am able to keep updating the .dll but use the older .exe... Hope it helps if related...

So I was finally able to get Pinball FX3 and my PinDmdv3 working by using the following command.
dmdext mirror --source=pinballfx3 --no-virtual --fx3-legacy -d pindmdv3 -p COM3 --fps 60
fps wasn't required, but the output looks better. My one issue now is the DMD is showing random glitching pixels. It's not a flicker, but rather random pixels. See attached image.
Any ideas on the issue? Works fine on VPX.
Having the same problem with current build. Also can’t find installer for 1.73. So excited to get this work, but no com port recognition, etc. any advice would make my year...
Where would I pick up a copy of 1.73 r79? Thanks all!

Hopped on there but there is no avail download for 1.73 r79...:(
I assume this is solved in the last versions, if not, please re-open.
