Package for Ubuntu 24.04

Packages include a package for 22.04

However this package doesn't work for 24.04 (latest long term release)

Attempts to build on 24.04 also have failed. (Perhaps a subject for another issue ticket)

Any chance we could get a 24.04 build?

We are currently working on an Ubuntu 24 development build. I don't know when something will be available in an an official freesurfer release.

At this rate, Ubuntu 26.04 will be out before you release an Ubuntu 24 build...

Considering the style of all-in-one build of freesurfer, I would suggest switching to an apptainer built from the docker release.

They already have one based on Centos7 on Dockerhub. But it is a very ancient distribution, so not so great for customizing it and adding features. I would suggest switching to Ubuntu which is way more popular.
