Multi-file upload on the Submit Materials (/lookup) page
Couldn't find any GitHub issue about this. Does one exist?
It would be nice if sources had the ability upload more than one file at a time. Say, a max of 5.
Just curious—what's the blocker on this, or was this just deemed undesirable?
So the blocker for this if I recall correctly was that we could not add functional tests for the feature due to lack of upstream support for multi file upload, meaning that we would be adding even more additional manual testing per release (i.e. so for maintainability reasons we wanted to hold off on merging this feature). Note that I haven't checked in a while and it may be supported now, worth another look when someone gets a spare cycle
Sweet! There's other usability things I feel should come before this, but I would love for this to get looked-into at some point... as it does stand-out to me as a high-priority feature, just past usability and on the "make this a nicer experience" list.
Something Journalists could likely benefit from as well, as multi-file uploads would allow for more Sources to upload more individual files vs individual ZIP archives that the Workstation Client cannot individually preview.
Today someone at Mozfest specifically requested this feature and said they'd wanted to use SecureDrop but needed multi-file upload support
