Spaces in /chapters is used poorly for desktop and laptop users
the pages look like a mobile page for desktop user. We can use more features and a lot of the empty space to display more info about chapters for general user
I will post a link of the page file and hopefully how the feature is implemented.
Feel free to drop a suggestion, or ways you think you can help.
If you want to help, make it small, usually layout is tricky and with UI component is under way, make complicated layout will be hindrance for it
Example: there is no need for chapter to carry the text above the image, it's hard for the eyes to read sometimes
I'll be working on this issue.
@hisnameispum 👍, there is a pull request changing how chapter is being represented but it isn't focused about changing the page layout. #1361
Feel free to mention, how you are planning to make use of the empty space and whatever you need from me 👍
@Sboonny Your design looks great for the card, it provides more information instead of showing only name of event. I have applied your design with my layout design. Let me know what you think.
I like your approach, it opens possibility for complicated design like carousel, so I may use your code in the future.
But for the MVP what do you think of making a grid layout with 2 columns, one card on each column, because there is current empty spaces and adding pagination will make it weirder.

Quincy suggested removing the chapter photos in this view and just having a list. More generally, he suggested simple interfaces to start, so I guess we're looking for a middle ground between stark and rich for the MVP.
He didn't suggest this page, but here's a simple text view for HackGreenville that still looks okay if we use a pattern in the existing Material UI that's quick and easy.
Thoughts?

That sounds good for performance and it would be easy to implement. Personally, I think there is no right or wrong way to do it. Both approaches have their own upsides and downsides.
@allella I can finally picture a design that include the Events before mvp, thanks to removing the images and your link, I will implement it.
And we can think of ways to add image after the mvp
@Sboonny Shall we close this issue since it's been merged?
@hisnameispum there are part of chapters, I want to display but haven't figured out a design for them yet.
I am going to meet with staff after MVP asking them for inputs, if we don't come up with something. I closing it.
