Testing information for the HTML only recipe lab

Where to find the lab

Once you have gitpod or your local fcc copy running, then go to the frontend development cert under upcoming curriculum. Then go to the recipe page lab.

Context

This will be the first chance for campers to practice what they have learned on their own with just HTML.

There will be a lecture video block before this covering the following:

• what is HTML and how does it work with CSS
• basic HTML syntax
• what are void elements are how that differs from regular elements
• basic intro to attributes

There will also be a workshop where they will get to practice working with basic HTML elements. The workshop before this is the cat photo app workshop. It is basically a revised version of what is currently live on main but without the form stuff since comes up later.

So if you want to go through that workshop first, and then this lab to get the full experience of what campers will go through, that is fine.

Objective of workshop

The goal of this lab is to get them to practice writing HTML boilerplate, headings, lists and images.
