Phantasy Star Collection Sleep Mode Messes With Text Boxes

Playing part 1 of Phantasy Star Collection on the GBA and whenever I use sleep mode and start the game up again there are two text boxes whenever dialogue appears and one overlaps the other making it difficulty to read. This happens every time I start a game from sleep mode. Sometimes there problem resolves itself but more often than not, the issue remains.

If Frame Blending is turned on the problem will disappear.
