Data row is in a cell

Open plaidshirtakos opened this issue 7 years ago • 14 comments

Data per row is in a cell, not in cells under each columns. It is hard to use in this way.

I can't follow, can you rephrase?

Each row contains all the data tags in one cell. So it is not separated under columns. How could I separate it into more cells permanently?

Simply, data is not separated into columns. It looks like an XLS, where you put all the data in each line to a cell and separate it with tabs.

I'd say its a google problem... I dont see the same issue

@IamSierraCharlie : How do you mean, "google problem"? Could you please show me one of your records?

plaidshirtakos avatar May 23 '18 10:05 plaidshirtakos

Its purely a guess because there is not enough information to help analyse your problem. In order to better assist you, you really need to provide some more information. How about you show us your code? perhaps some information about your setup might be useful too. for example what version of python, and pygsheets might be a good start. The more info you can give, the easier it will be.

@IamSierraCharlie : I use latest version of these.

plaidshirtakos avatar May 28 '18 09:05 plaidshirtakos

Can you provide a detailed step-by-step guide to reproduce the issue?

Please make sure that you've pulled the latest changes (1.6.0) since I made a couple of updates yesteday.

@frdmn : I use your script a year ago, so have a lot of rows on sheet. Could you please mention idea, how to pull changes or upgrade to latest version without loosing authorization details or token info?

Script is running on a Raspberry Pi. I followed your steps, so not sure, what is this issue caused by.

Can you show me the currrent data within your spread sheet? Then I might be able to tell you if and/or what exactly you have to change. :)

frdmn avatar Jul 12 '18 07:07 frdmn

@frdmn : It looks like this: image

@plaidshirtakos Intersting - this doesn't look like data coming from my script... Or at least I can not remember it looking like that.

At the moment the data is written in the spreadsheet in the following format:

Date Download Upload Ping
16.07.2018 07:30:00 43.32 12.52 21

(actual Google Spreadsheet)

If you bring your existing data into this format - you should be able to "migrate" it accordingly :)

@frdmn : I downloaded it more than a year ago and use it with default settings. Yes, I can reformat it manually, but it is too boring and repetative task. :)
