deepseek v3 0324 vs deepseek r1 0528 for agentic coding? (also a bit of troubleshooting)

i tried using both in agent zero using chutes provider, but r1 0528 blatantly refused to call any of agentic tools available, or agent zero had problem with parsing the tools, it always seemed to choose quote (") as it's tool of choice. anyone had success setting it up to work with agent zero? or chutes provides some kind of distilled model on it's endpoint? v3 works fine though.

also, did anyone try using either of them in anon-kode? maybe they work better this way?
