How to use a large document, access detailed instructions or info as context for a request?

This is amazing but conceptually I need some help, lets say i want it to do research and write a report with my specific style is there a way I can input and save 3 context documents, some guidance and guardrails for the research, an exact format example for the report and a writing style document so my initial prompt can be small and i can just say: Do XXX task and please reference these files and follow their instructions for your work. Instead of adding tons of info into the initial request can i create a knowledge base and/or system instructions and can it have different projects?

I see there is memory, is that the KB, is it vector db? Van different memories or system instructions be used or excluded for different work or projects you want to do or is it simply enough to tell it what to use or not for each request?

I hope this makes sense, a way to organise info about a complex project where the agent needs to draw upon different resources and instructions so the main instruction can be simple and things still work

Also is there rag or vector db to store large reference files that wont fit in context like to query a large book? Sorry a lot of questions i just see so much potential. Thanks
