Change in Leave policy assignment in mid period
Case Scenario: Changes on assigned Leave Policy
- A full-time employee has been assigned a Leave Policy based on a period of 1/1/2023 to 31/12/2023
- Annual leave allocated is earned leave basis (e.g 22 days) in this full-time Leave Policy
- Later on, the same employee has a change in employment type from full-time to part-time which triggers changes in leave policy (period year of 1/5/2023 to 31/12/2023)
- A part-time Leave Policy should be granted to the said employee
Limitation in the System
- System is NOT ALLOWED to assign new policies without canceling the old ones which will also trigger to cancel of all the "submitted" leave applications of the said employee
- The above limitation has caused the client can't traceability as well as the employee's lifecycle history within the company
Expected Scenario
- If any employee wants to work from Full time to Part time then System should allow changing the Leave Policy Assignment accordingly.
- If any employee switches the department in between running periods and every department has a different leave Policy then in this case also the system should allow changing the leave policy
