Enhance Material Requirement Planning (MRP) In ERPNext

1 Report 2 Scheduling 3 Auto creation of records based on capacity

Case:- Manufacturers engaged in long-term contracts often commit to monthly supply volumes for their finished goods. To meet this consistently, they need accurate raw material demand forecasting aligned with monthly delivery schedules, taking into account lead times, buffer stocks, and past consumption trends.

##ERPNext lacks advanced demand forecasting.

##No native integration between sales contracts and material requirement planning (MRP).

##Limited visibility on monthly forecasts and raw material purchase planning based on these.

From a requirement stand point I can help. Also help develop some of the components with our team. Let us know. -One major use case would be forecasting based on the open quotations and past conversion rates especially in an engineer to order scenario.

Does it should include Subcontracting?

  • Inward Subcontracting
  • Outward Subcontracting

Yes we should consider sub contracting as well.

I would be interested in helping with this

I am working on a reporting system that uses sales order quantities and delivery dates to plan requirements based on periodic weekly production capacity. I would like to be included.

Is there an explanation of how the issue was solved? Will we see it after the v16 beta release? Or was the issue closed simply because it was accepted as a feature request?

@alpkanoz https://github.com/frappe/erpnext/pull/49184 This is already available in the develop branch.
