Download File Name bug
Every time someone downloads a PDF from the drive, the default file name of the downloaded file is random, and not the original file name. Can we fix this?
I am actively using Frappe Drive to store and share partner and customer-facing documents published on the web. This bug can be irritating for the users.
Yeah, this is bothersome. Not a bug, though, really. Drive doesn't store the exact file name on disk, so when the PDF data is fetched it's fetched using that random number. There's no way to turn off this behaviour in the default PDF viewer.
I'll just push the custom PDF viewer I have already. It's missing zoom controls, annotations and TOC but at least it avoids this nasty behaviour. Till then you can just use menu on the top right of the screen. Instead of the download button on the pdf
