Call logs are not showing up if the user is not admin

Version 1.40.2

With this version, the user (not admin user) can make a call from Activity → New Call, and the call logs would not show up the call. But if I go to admin account, in the call logs I can see the entry.

This is really a bad experience for the users. It looks like this bug has been introduced in the new version.
