Development Roadmap?

Open donalturrentine opened this issue 6 years ago • 9 comments

This is just a ping to see if development is going to continue on this project ... there have not been commits in 6 months 😃 I just integrated it into one of our production projects, and then looked at the commit history... @pratu16x7 I see you are still active with Frappe, will you circle back to this at some point?

So far it is a great project and seems to work well.

Thank you for all the work so far!

It's been a month since this comment ... I'm guessing this project is no longer active/maintained. I am going to switch to amcharts then --- thank you though, this project was fun while it lasted!

Can someone on the inside have the courtesy to reply please?

We're very appreciative of the work done but we've also invested considerable time in converting apps and writing specific frappe charts code too.

Thanks

ping @pratu16x7

Any update ? There are some good open pull request, some that take less than 2 minutes to review and click merge. https://github.com/frappe/charts/pull/206 https://github.com/frappe/charts/pull/221

Do you need help to review open issues and merge pull requests ? If so I am sure you could share collaboration access to this repo so the community can help.

In case you need help we could open another issue to know who wants to collaborate, triage issues, merge or decline pull requests

Hi, I'm taking over the maintenance of the project from @pratu16x7 At the moment, there is no comprehensive roadmap, however for the time being the focus is to fix existing bugs followed by improving tests.

@scmmishra Very good news! Thanks for the update!

@scmmishra Excellent news

https://github.com/tradingview/lightweight-charts just appeared in Frontend focus "lightweight-charts: Financial Lightweight Charts Built with HTML5 Canvas — If you want to replace static image charts with interactive ones that are small and fast this HTML5 charts library may be worth a look"

it's 186k before gzip, 44k - lightweight?!! (plus supports few chart types) whereas Frappe is only 60k before gzip, 17k after

great work guys, please help to keep this project going strong
