A few feature requests.

I find a few issues with your app 1- It is a little too easy to delete a company . People can mistake the x icon for close. It should be in a separate window called manage companies. 2- I think the dashboard should be the homepage not getting started. Users ,even, should be able to choose not to show getting started. 2- Users should be able to choose between manual or automatic backup and ,if automatic, users should choose the frequency and maximum number of backups kept. In general , Manual backup is better . Manager accounting software does manual backup very well.

Any plans of implementation for these ideas ?

Replies to the issues you listed above.

  1. The management of databases is already handled via a separate page, accessible via the sidebar by clicking the Change DB option. Upon clicking the close icon, it asks you for a confirmation whether you want to Delete that Database.

  2. You can disable the Get Started page by going to Setup > Settings > System, there is a Checkbox that allows you to Hide Get Started

  3. Technically, Books already take automated backups of the Databases at some events. But it lacks the configuration options you mentioned.

A better option is to create a button in the upper left corner in the change db window that says delete companies . When you click it, check boxes beside each company appear . You select what you want and the press ok . In the confirmation dialogue, please add you can restore the company file from a backup version.

Also there should be a way to restore a company file from a backup copy.

I'd say, the current implementation of deleting and switching databases is pretty straightforward and unambiguous. So I cant see a necessity to incorporate the changes you mentioned.

However, the backup functionality needs to be enhanced.

At least replace the x icon with the trash can icon. X can be mistaken for close. But thanks anyway.

I appreciate your suggestion. Keeping this issue open till the backup feature is enhanced.
