I would also appreciate this function ! Eventually put it as "tags" or "categories" with hierarchie, so that a flexible structure is possible.

This would be good. Akaunting has them, and in Xero they are called tracking categories.

@promexio I think hierarchies are overestimated in this case. Really there is nothing that can not be achieved without hierarchy. The only problem is a bit more work, for example is hierarchy is three levels deep, one should click three times (tag it three times). But this gives a lot of possibility and flexibility if hierarchy changes through the time. Of course at the end it is up to that - how it is implemented.

We are considering using Akaunting or Frappe. In case we decide for Frappe we might implement this feature and give here as a suggestion.

Fully agree. Akaunting has a multi-user mysql functionality... - another open point.

@promexio On the other side, we are also considering Frappe ERPNext as it seems is far more complete than Frappe Books, and this feature is implemented in-there, as the @chaoxu suggested in his original post.
