Invoice period field

Currently there is no way to create an invoice with the period (range of the service). For example:

#	Item	Period	Value
1	site	May 1 to 31	$100

Maybe including a custom field on each invoice could solve it.

I've been trying to format the invoice date in the template, but no luck getting it done.
