Input box stroke option

The data input box has no option for a stroke width, yet always has a surrounding stroke. This just doesn't look very nice when no stroke is required.

I need to remove the border, where in the code is the input box css or html for that.... .js file?? At least provide the ability to change the color of the border, so I can hide it, it seems that the color follows the text color, that is not how I need it to be, I have the text input over a drawn "inverse button" field and the border ruins the effect
