Hi, Thank you for your report.

Could you please provide some more details on the problem as described in https://github.com/fr3ts0n/AndrOBD/wiki/Reporting-improvements---issues

It would be most helpful if you can provide a log file. Thx

I See that you still use AndrOBD V2.0.3. V2.0.4 does have several fixes concerning connection failures. Please update to V2.0.4 and let me know if it works for you.

I might have a similar issue, so I reply to this instead of opening a new one.

I have a vgate icar3 Bluetooth Adapter which reports to be v2.1 and I confirmed it with the ELM327 identifier app. I use it on a Hyundai i30 2011 1.6l diesel. Other apps like the identifier, torque lite, dash command work as expected.

With AndrOBD it tries to connect, but seems to fail and instantly show disconnected toast.

There seems to be another batch of cheap ELM clone adapters which break the bluetooth connection on rception of a ATZ (reset) command. see also in the FAQ section of wiki:

The workaround for this is to disable the ATZ command in the AndrOBD settings: Settings -> Development options -> Disabled ELM commands -> check "ATZ"

This should eliminate the device reset and allow the bluetooth connection to stay alive.

Please let me know the results

Sorry for coming back so late to the party. It does work 👍

I have a cheap clone and disabling ATZ does not work. Car scanner is able to talk to it though.

I have just closed another issue (#251) where the user confirmed the adapter to fail with OBD Bluetooth option "Secure connection" enabled.

So disabling this option may also help with your adapter.
