issue with the app

Whenever I try to use the app it turns green when im in the xbox app but the xbox app doesnt recognize any of the keyboard inputs

Does keyboard key for guide button work?
Xbox companion often treats PC controller as a new controller. Just like attaching a second controller physically to the Xbox, a given game usually wont let that one control the established first player unless you reassign through the Xbox guide UI.
