How about cooperate?
Hi! I started a new project to integrate the osmdroid library under react native. I'm doing it in my spare time, managed to update and rewrite some things, but I need help. If suddenly you are interested in this library, you can help me! I will be glad for any help, thank you in advance. https://github.com/Splicer97/react-native-osmdroid
Hello!
It would be nice to work with you.
What I am planning now is to make this lib completely oblivious of react-native-maps. The way I did it before was revealed to be terrible in the long term. I hoped they would accept my PR, but it never happened.
In the next few months I will unplug this lib from react-native-maps, update rn version, and maybe create a 'bridge' library that abstracts choosing this osmdroid or react-native-maps one when displaying a map.
Please let me know what you think.

That's a great idea. That's exactly what I'm doing. I took your library as a base, removed ios folder, removed google maps, updated osmdroid sdk and added possibility to select map bounding box via ref. I don't know Java language very well, but I think I will gradually manage to transfer osmdroid functionality to React Native. I would be very glad of your help!
