Scroll Thaumaturgy does not allow using scrolls

When attempting to use a scroll item with a character with the Scroll Thaumaturgy feat, we receive an error "You lack the proficiency to use Scroll of Soothe (Level 2) and do not have the Trick Magic Item Feat".
