Surface Selection in Mayo
Hi,
I am wondering whether it is possible to select a single surface in Mayo. It seems current version only allow selection of solid.
Currently surface selection isn't possible, Mayo provides selection of "components" in the assembly tree. It's possible to implement surface selection, what would you like to do with the selected surface?
I would to assign surface property such as colors etc. I would use mayo as an external lib in my own tools.
Interesting, I would like to provide a face inspection tool in Mayo so the user can see the surface geometry type and specific properties(eg radius of cylindrical surface, ...). So that face selection basic tool would be useful for a variety of commands (like the one you're asking: overriding face color). Feel free to create a feature issue and describe in more details your needs. It can be planned for coming next release(v0.6)
Thanks! if we can have a face inspection tool, it will be even better. Do we.have.a time schedule such as when version 0.6 will be avsilable?
There's no date planned for v0.6 but this face inspection feature can be the next thing to be worked on. So it should be available in the next couple of weeks if you know how to build Mayo from sources.
It could be very useful to multiselect faces from imported solid, in order to tesselate and export mesh only of the selected shapes.
