[BUG] Comments after valid lines in pacman.conf causes instant crash

I recently edited my pacman.conf so the line ParallelDownloads = 5 (that's what HyDE, my config set it to automatically) becomes ParallelDownloads = 10 # Was 5 originally btw and now when I run aura -S, it says: aura :: Failed to parse your pacman.conf file. I tested, and removing the " # Was 5 originally btw" fixes the issue. I have no idea why it does that so I posted an issue here.
