This is because you pull from `ppc64le/alpine:latest` which only provides the `ppc64le` architecture. You need the `docker.io/library/alpine` image which provides also amd64.

If nsloopup is working, maybe this is a bug in your application? We would need a [MRE](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimal_reproducible_example) to debug this further.
