Registry hangs
Description
The Registry page of the fpm documentation includes a link labeled "official registry.". Entering search keywords such as "LFortran" into the official registry leads to what appears to be a never-ending spinning dial. Is there a working version of the registry somewhere?
Issue #1130 suggests pointing users to @Beliavsky's list. Issue #957 comment-1640515102 mentions the option to set up a local registry. Issue #759 comment-1258880101 gives a rationale for keeping the registry separate from fpm, but I wonder whether it might be time to either absorb the registry into the fpm project or deprecate the registry. The latest commit on the main branch at https://github.com/fortran-lang/fpm-registry is from 4 years ago.
Expected Behaviour
I would expect that searching the registry for fpm projects would turn up information about the project.
