Application keeps on launching sometimes or always on second monitor/laptop's monitor instead on my main external monitor.

I don't know if I done something wrong or I'm missing something, but I launch applications, sometimes it opens on the second monitor. With Librewolf, it always opens on my second monitor. Any help that might solve this issue, I'll be deeply grateful!

Edit: If possible, it would be nice to see a feature where it allows you to choose which monitor to launch windows on.

Edit 2: Just saw that is was not maintained anymore :/

I can't seem to replicate this issue. Can you confirm whether this happens when the extension is disabled?

@soitchu Yeah, it only happens on when the extension is enabled. Btw, I'm using a Nitro 5 laptop with an external monitor as a primary monitor.

I have a similar situation

i have 2 monitors -

  • left - firefox
  • right (main with dashtodock dock on right) - thunderbird, caprine, gnome-terminal

When I wake the pc from sleep the thunderbird and gnome-terminal windows are on the left monitor

I have a similar issue, I use 2 screens my secondary monitor is on the left and my main monitor and is on the right. Some apps like Firefox always open on my secondary monitor when the forge extension is enabled

Unfortunately, there is no tilling extension actively maintained on gnome :(

@ItsMatthew444 @giddisey @Neoazert I think I realize what the issue is. Can any of you confirm whether this happens if the cursor is on the main display?

@soitchu This happens even if the cursor is on the main display, or if a window on the main display is selected.
