There are a few comments in the source that mention a "Matt G", then Matt Godbolt on Twitter mentions that he worked there in 1997.

Hahaha! Yeah that's me I'm pretty certain. There weren't any other Matt Gs about, only a Matt P (Porter, lead on Croc Saturn and later Red Dog).
